Skanska Uses DynaRoad Control in Road 49 in Sweden

General contractor Skanska uses DynaRoad for production planning and control in the National Road 49 Gustavstorp-Rude project south of Askersund in Sweden. A production plan was drawn up using DynaRoad, and now project execution is controlled and monitored to follow up the plan.

DynaRoad Control

Using DynaRoad for production control during construction gives the contractor:

  • Actual vs. planned production rates
  • Actual vs. planned mass haul
  • Schedule follow-up
  • Remaining amounts of cut and fill
  • Control chart
  • Text reports on actual mass flow, work flow, and completion degree

The project

National Road 49 is an important connection between Bergslagen, Mälardalen and the West Coast. The contract is worth SEK 68 million (EUR 8 million) and the owner of the project is the Swedish Transport Administration. The reconstruction of road 49 between between Gustavstorp and Rude will be about three kilometers long and the project will last for about two years. The work started in August 2013.
